In Memory of My Grandad — Supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice

Thursday 21st May

On the 26th of March, we lost my grandad after his battle with lung cancer. He was an incredibly loved husband, dad, grandad, and friend, and his loss has left a space in our lives that can never truly be filled.

During his final days, the care and compassion shown by St Wilfrid’s meant so much to our family. The kindness, dignity, and support they gave not only to my grandad, but to all of us around him, is something we will never forget.

To honour his memory, me, my husband Henry, and our two boys, Henry and Alfie, will be taking part in the Rainbow Run 5K. Together we’ll run, walk, skip, and dance our way through nine colourful zones along the course while raising money for this incredible charity. 🌈

Grandad was always happiest when he saw our family together making memories, and this will be a very special one — made in his remembrance and filled with love, laughter, and colour. I know he would probably laugh seeing us covered from head to toe in paint, but we’ll be doing every step proudly for him.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help St Wilfrid’s continue providing specialist care, comfort, and support to families facing the hardest moments of their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you to everyone who donates or shares this page. It truly means the world to our family.

Grandad, this one’s for you. ❤️
