About Us

With your support, St Wilfrid’s is here to help local people with life-limiting illnesses live well at the end of their lives.

What we do

St Wilfrid’s provides support for people with any life-limiting illness towards the end of their lives. We also support their families and carers. This could be in the hospice building, in the person’s own home or a care home.

Your support makes all the difference. As a charity, around 70% of our funding is from donations from the local community. Nobody is charged for their care.

Where we are

Our mission is to enable people in Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and all the points in between to live well at end of life.

We serve a population of 245,000 people covering an area of around 300 square miles. Our expert teams work to help people to live well until the end of their lives and to support their family and friends.

We provide care in our Inpatient Unit, through our Living Well service and, increasingly, to families in their own homes.

From the moment I entered the hospice, I felt like I was being taken under their wing. It just felt like another world. I had absolute care – physically and mentally – and left feeling calmer, more able to sleep and back to my old self.
