Hi, I'm taking part in St Wilfrid’s Hospice’s Starlight Stroll
It was Christmas 2020 when my nanny Beryl got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in multiple places. It was a shock as only a couple of weeks ago we had been to Eastbourne on one of our regular shopping trips. Not long into the new year nanny received hospice care at this amazing place. It was such amazing care, they made her laugh and made her comfortable. The support they gave to my dad, his siblings and my grandad was outstanding. She later died on February 26th 2021. I miss her so much everyday and value the shopping trips, the days out to garden centres, M&S lunches (we had a special table!) and so much more.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides high-quality care and support for people across Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield (and all points between) with life-limiting illnesses, and any money raised will allow them to continue to provide this to the community.

I am so so proud of you for doing this Heidi. I recently received some bereavement counselling at St Wilfred’s and they are currently supporting my Grannie so I have seen firsthand how incredible they are. I’m sure that you will be making your Nanny proud. Best of luck. Lots of love from Emma xxx
