Starlight Stroll on 14th September
This year marks 10 years of Starlight Stroll and we need your help to make it the biggest one ever!
Join us on Eastbourne seafront for the traditional 5-mile walk, or take on the special edition tenth anniversary 10-mile route for a bigger challenge. Whichever route you choose, there will be the chance to lay a special lantern in the Italian Gardens to remember a loved one who has died, or simply to reflect on the work of the hospice.
Whether this will be your tenth stroll, or your first, we can’t wait to welcome you to walk with us beside the sea, light up Eastbourne and help raise vital funds for local hospice care. There’ll be some extra special touches, to say thank you to our community who have supported the hospice and Starlight Stroll for so many years.
Entry is £14 per person until 31st July, and £18 after that. Under 5s come for free. Every walker will receive a paper lantern to decorate, as well as a Starlight Stroll T-shirt and a commemorative medal. Tutu and fairy lights are optional.

How it works
You’re just a few steps away from joining us for a special evening to remember on Saturday 14th September, whilst raising funds for vital hospice care. Here’s what you need to do!
1. Register
Register yourself, as well as family and friends – it’s quick and easy to do! Just enter your details, pick your t-shirt size and pay at the checkout.
2. Raise funds
Your fundraising page is created during registration and is simple and easy to use. Whether you fundraise individually or in a team, we’ll be here to help you reach your goal.
3. Stroll
Whether you take on the 5 mile route or the 10 mile route, take the stroll at your own pace. Take your time to reflect and remember when you lay your lantern. Stroll back and get your medal.
What happens on the night?
Then, stroll back to Princes Park to be welcomed by some wonderful volunteers who will hand you your Starlight Stroll finisher’s medal. You’re then invited to stay for supper and a cuppa, or even something fizzy, in our alfresco dining area.
Children and young people can join our Seahorse Stroll
In the afternoon, before Starlight Stroll, the experienced bereavement support team from the St Wilfrid's Hospice Seahorse Project, will be hosting Seahorse Stroll.
Seahorse Stroll will give children and young people an opportunity to come together and know they are not alone in experiencing grief.
