You agree that St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) cannot be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from your participation in Fire Walk. If you are unsure about whether you are physically able to participate or are on any medication which adversely affects the operation of your nervous system, then you should obtain medical advice from your own GP or medical consultant, prior to taking on the challenge. You also understand and agree that there is a no tolerance policy for alcohol or drugs at this event. Anyone who is under the influence of alcohol prior to taking it for a walk will not be allowed to participate. Alcohol will be available on sale on site for spectators, and participants once the walk has been completed.

You confirm that you are aged 16 or over at the time of participation in the event. If you are aged 16-17 at the time of participation, you confirm that you will have an adult aged 18 or over present at the event with you.

You understand and accept that by registering for Fire Walk 2025, you are pledging to try and raise a minimum of £175.00 in sponsorship for St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne). You understand that the pledge target does not include Gift Aid and you agree to encourage your sponsors to Gift Aid their sponsorship donation, if they are a UK taxpayer (which will incur no extra cost to them but will enable St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) to claim an additional 25% of their donation amount from HMRC).

All funds raised through your participation in Fire Walk 2025 must be made payable to St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) in £ sterling and should be received by St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) by Wednesday 30th April 2025. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship monies as possible. All funds raised via your online sponsorship page will be transferred to St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) automatically. You can pay any offline sponsorship via cheque made payable to 'St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne)', or via bank transfer, or by calling the Fundraising Team on 01323 434241. You acknowledge that St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) may incur costs because of you joining this challenge (e.g. cost of producing and selling a fundraising pack/medal). You therefore understand and accept that the objective of this event for you, the participant, is to raise as much sponsorship funds for St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) as possible.

Should you, for whatever reason, not take part in this event on Saturday 29th March 2025, all sponsorship forms provided to you and monies collected before the event in sponsorship, should be forwarded to St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne), subject to you informing your donors that you were not able to participate in the challenge and that they may, if they wish, have their sponsorship money returned to them.

You agree that you will not bring St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne)'s name into disrepute and that you will fundraise responsibly and legally. You will not do anything that may damage St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne)'s reputation or name. You agree that, in the event that St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) reasonably believes that your participation in Fire Walk 2025 may damage St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne)'s name or reputation, that you will withdraw from the event immediately, at the request of St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne).

By registering for Fire Walk 2025 and providing your personal data such as your name, telephone number and email address, you understand that this is taken as your legitimate interest in being contacted by the St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) Fundraising Team for the purpose of your participation in Fire Walk 2025. You will therefore receive email, mail and telephone communication from the Fundraising Team before and after the event, in relation to your participation in Fire Walk.

You understand and confirm that if you choose to send St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) any images or video footage of your participation in Fire Walk 2025 (by methods such as, but not limited to Facebook, email, mail), that this will be taken as your consent for St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) to use your image or video for commercial and fundraising purposes including, but not limited to, marketing materials, social media, advertising, publications, and other documents or mediums that may be made available to the public. We will also have an official photographer at Fire Walk. If you are attending Fire Walk and are in any photos taken by the event photographer, you should expect that these images may be used on our social media platforms, and in future St Wilfrid’s Hospice marketing. If you do not wish to be in any photos or videos, please make yourself known to one of the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Events Team on the night of the event. Photographs of children will not be used in this manner without express written consent; unless the images are incidental, for example, children's faces amongst a larger crowd of people. Any complaints you may have specifically relating to Fire Walk before, during or after your participation in the event, should be communicated to the Fundraising Team at St Wilfrid's Hospice (Eastbourne) as soon as possible to help the team deal with them in a timely manner. You understand that every participant in Fire Walk 2025 will be required to sign a legal disclaimer, provided by Time4Change, in the workshop before the walk, stating that they are aware of any possible risks and are entering into an activity of their own free will and volition. Failure to sign a disclaimer form will result in entry being refused, with no right to refund.
