A Legacy of Love, Strength, and Family

This sponsorship is dedicated to the incredible man who stood at the heart of our family—our beloved Don. He was our Dad, our Grandad, our Great-Grandad—and the soul of our family.

Don was more than just a title. He was our rock. A man whose love knew no limits, whose strength lifted us through life’s hardest moments, and whose laughter made every gathering brighter. He lived his life with generosity, compassion, and a quiet wisdom that made everyone feel safe and seen.

He loved deeply and without condition. He supported each of us in our own unique way—always present, always proud, always with that steady hand on our shoulder. Whether he was offering guidance, telling one of his cherished stories, or simply sitting beside us in silence, Don made every moment meaningful.

When we lost him, he took a piece of all our hearts with him. The grief is deep, but so is our gratitude—for the years we shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in each of us—in the way we treat others, in the way we hold our families close, and in the way we face life with the quiet strength he showed us every day.

Everyone would be lucky to have a Don in their life. We were the luckiest of all.

We miss him more than words can say, but his spirit lives on through us, and always will.

In memory of our beloved Don!

We're all taking part in St Wilfrid’s Hospice’s Starlight Stroll to raise funds for local hospice care.  

St Wilfrid’s Hospice ensured that our Grandads last days were spent in comfort and surrounded by love! He was cared for with such dignity and respect, nothing was too much when it came to him or the family.  

We can't thank St Wilfrid's enough so in Dons memory and as somewhat of a thank you we aim to raise as much money in his name for the incredible work they do!
