Walking Barefoot on Fire for St Wilfrid's Hospice: A Cause Close to My Heart and in memory of a great man, my Dad John Dennis Lane.

On Saturday, March 29th, I'll be taking on a challenge that’s as meaningful as it is extraordinary. I’m walking barefoot across three metres of red-hot embers to raise money for St Wilfrid's Hospice, an organization that means the world to me and my family.

St Wilfrid's provided exceptional care to our dad during his final days, helping him navigate his last journey with dignity, comfort, and compassion. This experience left a lasting impact on us, and we’ll be forever grateful for the support they gave our family. It's because of this deep personal connection that I’m stepping up to support this incredible charity in their mission to provide care for those facing life-limiting illnesses.

St Wilfrid's Hospice offers high-quality care and support to individuals across Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield, and beyond. They offer care both at the hospice and in patients' homes, reaching people who need support during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Over 70% of the funds needed to provide these essential services come from voluntary donations, and that’s where you come in.

I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible to ensure that the hospice can continue to provide its invaluable services to people in need. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference.
