Hi, we’re taking part in St Wilfrid’s Hospice’s Starlight Stroll

Tina and I have decided to team up together to do this walk in memory of our grandads!

Lakeshia's grandad-

My Grandad (Da) was looked after through it all by st wilrids hospice and unfortunately passed on 12th July 2018. 

He was the kindest, most selfless man, with the best sense of humour and the most infectious laugh — a laugh that you couldn’t help but join in with, even when you had no idea what was so funny! He supported me in everything I ever set out to achieve and always believed in me.

He called me “Mouse”, and it’s one of those little things I’ll carry with me forever. Not a day goes by where I don’t miss him and wish I could have one more conversation, one more laugh, or just hear him call me Mouse again.

I’m doing this in his memory and to raise money for a hospice that does so much for families during some of their hardest times.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. ❤️

Tina's grandad-

My grandad passed away on the 17th August last year so by the time we do this 10mile walk it will be just over a year ago, sadly he lost his fight to cancer! 

My grandad meant the absolute world to me, he wasn't just my grandad but also my dad and best friend, and always will be in my heart! 

I'm doing this walk as I feel it's one last thing I can do to make grandad proud of me!

All the carers, nurses, doctors and people on the nurse line from St wilfredes were outstanding me and my nan couldn't have managed without them not only were they fantastic with grandad but also gave me and my nan the help and support we needed.
