Why aren't you collecting in my area?
We are only able to collect in certain areas due to the availability of our volunteers during this time.
How much does it cost?
We ask for a donation to support St Wilfrid's Hospice for us to collect your tree. Take a look at the suggested donation amounts below to see how you can help the hospice:
- £15 could go towards an hour of hands-on care for someone at home
- £25 can create a memory box for families to treasure
- £60 is enough to pay for two counselling sessions for a bereaved child through our Seahorse Project
- £121 could sponsor a nurse for a day
How tall can my tree be?
Suggested donation for trees up to 8ft: £15 per tree
Suggested donation for trees up to 10ft: £20 per tree
For trees over 10ft, please contact corporates@stwhospice.org to arrange collection.

What happens after I've made my booking?
After you have registered, you will receive an email from us confirming your booking and instructions for your collection.
Are you able to offer me a specific date/slot?
Unfortunately we will not be able to provide specific date or time slots as there are many factors we need to consider when organising van routes.
What is the closing date for bookings?
Our website will close for bookings at 10pm on Tuesday the 6th of January. Unfortunately, we will be unable to take any further bookings after this date.
If you have missed this date, but would still like to donate to the hospice, you can do so here.

What type of trees do you collect?
We collect real trees of all sizes.
The trees are then chipped after collection and made into biofuel or reused in other ways. For this reason, we cannot collect plastic trees, and all decorations must be removed before we collect them.
If you are looking to recycle an artificial tree, please consider donating it to our hospice shops.
