I'm trekking from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, following the centuries old paths of pilgrims in support of St Wilfrid's Hospice
Hello!
Please can I ask for your help....
In April 2027 I’ll be walking 100 km of the Camino Way, from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
This challenge is deeply personal for me. I’ve wanted to walk the Camino for many years, and as I’ve just celebrated my big 60 - and the last couple of years have brought many changes — it felt like the right moment to finally do it.
I decided to sign up with St. Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne, who are organising this group walk. My husband's sister, Heather, works with the hospice, and I’ve long been a supporter of the hospice movement, so it all came together beautifully. Heather and I will be taking on the challenge together (she’s raising her own funds).
The daunting part - aside from the 100 km! - is raising £2,800… but your generosity will help me immensely.
To help reach this goal, I have created a small series of paintings titled 'Imagined Pathways' - a thinking process of what I may experience when I actually walk the Camino.
E.mail me at lisa@lisatraxler.com and I will send images of the fundraising artworks for sale.
Equally a donation through this page is greatly received, thanks!
St. Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne is an extraordinary place, their
care, compassion, and commitment to the community are truly remarkable.
Thank you so much for supporting my challenge with your generous donation.
