Camino 2027 - Week 1

Help me reach my goal of £2,800

I'm trekking from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela, following the centuries old paths of pilgrims in support of St Wilfrid's Hospice


Dear friends,

Next year I’ll be walking the Camino from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne. It’s a walk I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and after a challenging few years it feels like the right moment to step into something reflective and purposeful.

I’ll be walking alongside my sister-in-law, who works at the hospice, while raising my own funds for the charity. St. Wilfrid's provides extraordinary care and supporting their work feels like a meaningful way to approach this journey.

To help with the fundraising, I’ve created a signed and numbered A4 print as a limited edition made specifically for the walk. After covering the basic costs of printing and postage, all remaining funds from each print go directly to the hospice.

Easter Weekend in a blue haze...

Tuesday 7th Apr
A tranquil walk through the wild bluebells on this very fine Easter Weekend for my latest training session.The heavenly scent of the shimmering violet-blue carpet and the clear birdsong made for a wonderfully calm afternoon… I can’t thank my sponsors enough for the amazing donations, we are over the £2 thousand mark now - a great help for the hospice and my challenge - thank you!

Sunshine + Springtime in March

Monday 23rd Mar
Suitably impressed with the sunshine and the grand feeling of Spring in the air! A lovely weekend with a visit from my co-partner in crime for our Camino Challenge... Heather, my lovely sister-in-law who works at St. Wilfrid's Hospice and all its amazing care. We had a beautiful walk along Dell Quay in Chichester training with the help of our pooches, Beatrice and Oscar :) Heather and I will be walking the Camino together in 2027 raising funds for St. Wilfrid's Hospice. Your support would be invaluable, thank you! 

I AM HALFWAY TO MY FUNDRAISING GOAL!

Very excited to announce that I have reached the halfway mark on my fundraising challenge - THANK YOU SO MUCH! - to all those who have supported me so far. Launch of the limited edition 'Camino' print this week...

I've been busy in the studio preparing the artwork for my limited edition 'Camino' print created to mark the walk and raise funds for St. Wilfrid's. It's only been live a few days on social media and already the response has been amazing - thank you for the incredible support!

Sunday 1st Feb
We walked, regardless, as the driving rain seeped into every crease of clothing and clung to hair and face.... underfoot we slipped our way along muddy chalk paths and past ancient yew. The elements were bracing and cleansing - we have reached February!
This walk: Kingley Vale, National Nature Reserve.

Grabbing the beautiful light on this chilly and blustery day...
A two hour trek along the edge of fields, country lanes and coastal paths - the end of January is in sight!
