Camino 2027 - Week 1

Camino de Santiago Trek in support of St Wilfrid's Hospice

Hi Lovely people,

Next April I am taking on the challenge of trekking 100Km from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela following in the footsteps of centuries old paths of pilgrims in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time and when St Wilfrid’s announced they would be holding this event, I jumped at the chance to be involved. I am not exactly a seasoned rambler, so this will be a challenge for me physically and mentally, but I am excited to be doing this and looking forward to having perhaps my own pilgrimage of reflection, discovery, community, and connection in my 60th year.

I was also looking for a way to support and give back to St Wilfrid's Hospice. I have the honour of working at St Wilfrid's and daily I witness the unrelenting care and dedication that the staff and volunteers provide to their patients and families. Last year I felt at first hand the love and support of the hospice when a member of my family was cared for at the hospice. I was so grateful to the hospice and all that took care of dear Betty.

Thank you in advance for supporting me in my challenge; wish me luck and please help me raise much needed funds for St Wilfrid's Hospice which relies on the generosity of local community donations to continue their essential work.

Love and Gratitude ✨🙏

And as the Pilgrims would say “Buen Camino"

Saturday 28th Mar
St Wilfrid's Hospice provides incredible end of life care, comfort , and support to patients and their families when they need it most. Covering Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Heathfield and Uckfield, and all points in between.
To help me raise vital funds for the hospice, please consider donating to my Camino 2027 fundraising page and or sharing my page so I can reach as many people as possible.

St Wilfrid's relies heavily on community fundraising to continue their work - and every donation, no matter the size, makes a real and lasting difference. The funds raised will help the hospice to protect their services, and ensure people in the community are able to continue receiving their care, at a time when they need it most.
Thank you.
