Fourteen brave participants stepped well outside their comfort zones to take on a thrilling series of exciting and challenging activities — all in support of St Wilfrid’s Hospice. Working closely in teams, they faced physical, mental, and emotional tests, from scaling Jacob’s Ladder to conquering their fears by handling reptiles, and showing precision and focus in archery and rifle shooting. The event was not only a test of courage but also a brilliant opportunity for networking and team-building, bringing together members of the local business community in a truly memorable way.
It was genuinely inspiring to witness the encouragement, determination, and teamwork on display throughout the day. Participants supported one another at every stage, pushed beyond their perceived limits, and built lasting connections — all while raising vital funds for hospice care. The energy, enthusiasm, and laughter made the event a huge success, and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part.
Following the success of last year’s challenge, we’re thrilled to announce that this year’s event is set to be even bigger and better! Twenty-eight participants from across the corporate world will take on a whole new set of challenges, competing in four teams as they climb, shoot, and cook their way to victory — earning stars along the way. And yes, a few scaly guests will be making a return appearance to put their bravery to the test once again!
We can’t wait to see what this year’s teams achieve as they step up to the challenge, strengthen bonds, and make a real difference for local hospice care.
